Metallurgy is a key enabler of a circular economy. Its digitalization is the metallurgical Internet of Things. This the EIT summer school will illustrate some of these concepts with hands-on training (17-20/07 in Leuven).

The past four years, 15 early stage researchers were trained by the NEW-MINE project to develop cost-effective, environmentally friendly practices and regulatory frameworks for Enhanced Landfill Mining. They found innovative ways to convert the waste streams into recyclables and high-added value outputs.

The EIT-labelled Master Programme on Sustainable Materials (SUMA) welcomed 24 enthusiastic students in September 2018. This 3rd cohort is the biggest cohort for SUMA so far, with selected candidates coming from all over the world.
